    Waiting lists for neurodiversity assessments in the UK are long — often years. For autistic people and those with ADHD, that wait is not just frustrating. It affects education, employment, relationships, and mental health. 
    At Spectrum.Life, we are building a digital-first neurodiversity multi-disciplinary assessment service that is clinically rigorous, neuroaffirmative in its values, and genuinely accessible. We are looking for a Practitioner Psychologist who shares that commitment — someone who brings both the specialist technical competence this work demands and a genuine belief in the difference that timely, high-quality identification can make to a person’s life. 
    This is a fully remote, multidisciplinary role. You will be part of a team of psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, and Occupational Therapists, working together to deliver integrated, person-centred assessments for children aged seven and above and adults. 
     
    The Neurodiversity Assessment Service 
    Spectrum.Life’s Neurodiversity Assessment Service delivers high-quality Autism, ADHD, and combined AuDHD identification assessments for children (aged seven and above) and adults, fully remotely via virtual platforms. All assessments are conducted in line with NICE guidelines and within DSM-5 and ICD-11 diagnostic frameworks. 
    Our approach is neuroaffirmative throughout — from the way we conduct initial consultations to the language we use in our reports and feedback sessions. We work from a strengths-based, person-centred model that respects individual identity and lived experience. 
    This is a growing service, and you will have the opportunity to contribute directly to its development — including service design, quality improvement, and the way we use digital platforms to make assessments more accessible. 
     
    Your Multidisciplinary Team 
    Neurodiversity assessment is inherently multidisciplinary, and we have built the service to reflect that. You will not be assessing in isolation. 
    Your MDT includes Practitioner Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, and Occupational Therapists. Each assessment integrates perspectives across all three disciplines, and integrated formulation is a core part of how we work — not an add-on. 
     
    How the MDT works day to day 
    • Regular MDT formulation meetings where complex and combined presentations are discussed collaboratively across psychology, SLT, and OT
    • Shared formulation on all assessments — your psychological assessment report is integrated with SLT and OT findings before the final report is produced
    • A designated Clinical Manager who provides operational oversight and is available for clinical consultation

    Why both HCPC registration and BPS Chartership are required

    As a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner at Spectrum.Life, you will deliver evidence-based low-intensity cognitive behavioural interventions to adults experiencing mild-to-moderate anxiety disorders and depression. You will work fully remotely via telephone and video, conducting structured assessments, delivering protocol-specific interventions, and making clinically sound stepped care decisions within our four-step clinical model.

    You will work within a clearly defined NICE-aligned stepped care framework with clinical supervision, structured case management, regular PROMs tracking, and a clear escalation pathway. Your scope of practice is protected, not blurred.

    Step 2 that is truly Step 2.

    Your caseload is drawn from Steps 1 and 2 — the presentations your training was designed for. You will not be managing complexity that sits beyond your scope. High-intensity cases step up through a clear and supported pathway to accredited therapists.

  • Qualified PWP with BPS-accredited Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert) or Graduate Certificate in Low-Intensity Psychological Interventions
  • Current registration with BABCP (Wellbeing Practitioner Register) or BPS (Wider Psychological Workforce Register)
  • Minimum two years post-qualification experience within NHS Talking Therapies or an IAPT-equivalent service
  • Demonstrable competence across the full range of NICE-recommended LI-CBT protocols: Behavioural Activation, Graded Exposure, Worry Management, Problem-Solving, Panic Management, Sleep Improvement, and Guided Self-Help
  • Skilled in telephone and video-delivered assessment and intervention — this is your primary medium
  • Confident working with standardised outcome measures: PHQ-9, GAD-7, and WSAS, with an understanding of reliable recovery and reliable improvement benchmarks
  • Commitment to regular clinical case management supervision (CCMS) and ongoing CPD

    Process Improvement 

    • Audit existing finance workflows toidentifywheremanual effort, duplication, or error risk can be reduced through better process design
    • Design and implement improved workflows that reduce time, reduce error rates, and scale with the business
    • Document processes clearly so they can be handed off, automated, or replicated across markets as the business grows

    Stakeholder Collaboration 

    • Work closely with theFinanceOperations Director and, with the support of the wider finance team, align on process standards and reporting requirements
    • Act as the internal subject matter expert on finance process improvement, advising on tooling, controls, and best practice
    • Support the commercial team with financial data and analysis asrequired

  • Qualified accountant (CA, CPA, or equivalent) with two to three years of post-qualification experience
